Prayer Request:

My heartiest thanks, dearest Friends, for your initial prayers for Auntie LUCING JOVELLANOS-JAVIER. We need more prayers for her (buhos pa nang buhos) as she currently lies comatose in the ICU of the National Kidney Center.

To give you a more specific background on what had happened, the following report was sent by my brother, Sir Javier:

"Auntie Lucing was rushed to the ICU at National Kidney Center last week after collapsing at home. She was scheduled for surgery the following day as her stomach was getting bigger and bigger and the doctors thought it might explode if left unattended. She was diagnosed as suffering from an acute infection in her circulatory system. The doctors still have to determine what caused her affliction, but theorized that there might have been some leakage in her digestive system from the colon operation she underwent some two years ago. As I was about to leave the ICU after visiting her, she suddenly crashed and a FLAT LINE ensued. The medical staff in charge tried to revive her for about 15 minutes. Currently, she's still comatose but I learned yesterday from her son, Mac, that she has shown signs of recovery, judging from her hand responses when talked to. They still haven't found the exact culprit to her ailment as she has exhibited different responses to the tests being conducted.

Please include her in your prayers as she is still under intensive care. I will keep you postesd as soon as new developments arise."

  Many thanks for more prayers,

  Teri

Updates:

With a grateful heart, I would like to thank first and foremost my dear friend, Ding Reyes, for making the first posting in this egroup site last March 15, the second day of confinement of my daughter, JOY C. JOVEN, at the Victor R. Potenciano Medical Center (formerly Polymedic Hospital). Secondly, my heartfelt thanks to everyone who prayed both for my daughter and grandson who was born on April 18, 2008, 29 weeks preterm and weighing only 851 grams (not even 1 kilo).

The outpouring of love, support, and prayers was utterly overwhelming and touching. Our Lord simply had so much difficulty in saying no to all our prayers as he allowed NI¥O ANDRE JOVEN to survive his most critical first 10 days last April 28. According to the attending neonatologist, he is expected to be weaned from the ventilator this coming Saturday, May 3 and, God willing, will be discharged from the hos`ital, at the latest$ after 3 months or around July 18. Led us all continue praying for him so that he can kiss the hospital goodbye by June 18.

Our daughter, Joy, on the other hand was discharged April 24 and could now freely move around the house. Her only challenge is persistent colic that brings abdominal discomfort. This is normal, according to her OB.

On behalf of my family and Joy's family, let me reiterate our heartfelt thanks and profound gratitude to all of you who prayed for both Joy and Ni¤o Andre.

The grateful Lolo,

Wally C. Caancan

Prayer Request:

I need your prayers regarding my current work. I need enlightenment.

I was and still am asking for prayers regarding work because of this feeling of uncertainty.

I have met a company required metrics (closed a deal in less than 2 months that I have been with the company) and shown good performance but I have yet to get confirmation if I am to be regularized. I know compared to some members whose situation is more grave than mine this might sound light frivolous even but I am a single mom and have literally no one to turn should anything untoward happen to me. I have 2 lovely kids and I am so sick scared most of the time that I might not be able to protect them or give them a good home. I pray the rosary everyday and I do feel that Mama Mary has always been by my side thorough everything.

Prayer Request:

"Thanks to all who are concerned and praying for my wife, EVELYN ADEVA. She will have her surgery, May 14,2008 at the Kaiser Lakeview Medical Hospital. She will be operated on by Dr. T. Shibuya. Her problem is tumor on the salivary glands which keep on returning every five years. This time her surgery will be more agressive which will be needing a plastic reconstruction of her left face. Estimated hours of operation is eight.

Starting next week we will be seeing several doctors in the Kaiser org. so she can get clearance to undergo such surgery.

Please pray for her that she get the strenght to go thru with it and that all the medical issues before surgery are resolved. She is diabetic and has a heart condition. Since this this the third time she will undergo this operation, the doctors will do a more agressive surgery.

She is submitting herself to the will of our Lord."      (Mila adds: Thank you for all the help we can give Evelyn through our prayers.)

Prayer Request:

Let's all pray the inter-faith prayer that i have just posted in the Shared Prayers page of this sanibdasal website. The prayer is asking that the Philippine Senate be enlightened to avert environmental, economic and political destruction from the JPEPA proposed treaty, by voting on it "with wisdom and the noblest of intentions."  Preferably, JPEPA oppositors among members of our inter-faith praying community and other JPEPA oppositors coming from various faith traditions and belief systems come and join us at the interfaith prayer rally at the Senate grounds in Pasay City tomorrow, April 21, at 11 a.m.

Other Specifics:

We will also greatly appreciate it if you could help to cause this to be prayed anywhere by a GROWING NUMBER of Filipinos and other peoples STARTING TOMORROW morning.

Updates:

As of april 25, some unexpected developments have been reported, including some puzzling moves by some senators, including refusal by more of them than expected to sign a one-page committee report prepared by staunch pro-JPEPA senator Midiam Santiago, and the more surprising message reportedly coming from the Dept. of Foreign Affairs that the senators should not hurry in ratifying the proposed treaty. While we know that we have to keep our vigilance, we are beginning to feel that our prayers are starting to have an effect. Let's continue praying and asking more and more people to join us. -ding reyes

Hi To Everyone, I would like to thank all of you for your prayers for my daughter's fiance,JOSE 'PINGGOY' BAUTISTA. He is now finally out of the hospital and is walking already.

Still in pain, but well. I will write down here the text message of the parents & of course of Ping too.

Here goes. Forward to all our friends & relatives: After 19 days in the hospital, Pinggoy finally came home today (Apr. 16). Inspite of the terrible accident he got into, he has been blessed with a second life. We could not have survived this crisis without the intense prayers of so many people all over. It is simply amazing. We also would like to thank Guila and the rest of the frisbee team. (I will not go through your names 1 by 1 as I might miss out someone; you know who you are), punta fuego security and emergency assistance for their presence of mind in getting immediate help needed. This made a lot of difference in what could have been the prognosis on Ping's condition if emergency aid was delayed.

Thank you guid sa inyo na tanan. Melo, Doris and especially pinggoy.

Thank you very, very much for your prayers. He is now up and about. This is the miracle of prayers. Guila is my daughter. God bless your group. Thank you, thank you.

Prayer Request:

Praying for Success of a Prayer Project for World Peace through Conscious Oneness

fellow-members of sanibdasal, and the other e-groups for oneness

shortly before midnight last light i was able to upload into the shared prayers page of our sanibdasal website (http://sanibdasal.8m.net/share.htm) a prayer for world peace thru conscious oneness of humanity, which i had earlier emailed to you. this might help make it easier for any of us to refer this to other people (just give them the website address via live phone calls and SMS texting) and ask them to join us in prayer and to pass the message on. i request you to do that, pass on this prayer, to at least some of your close loved-ones, friends and associates.

i am now asking all of you to help me pray for the success of this particular joint praying project which is designed to go beyond such walls as national boundaries, faith traditions and political affiliations. if a significant number people would pray together this prayer, we would have made a significant progress in what we will precisely be praying for! that is, our almighty and loving creator would have answered our joint prayer through the earnestness and breadth of all the people praying for world peace through conscious oneness of humanity. The almighty shall have used us to weaken the walls of division.

for those people who have not yet read this prayer, please click at share.htm. the prayer in pilipino comes first and the same prayer in english follows, along with explanatory notes in both languages. please help me also in praying that many people of other nationalities and language groups, in seeing this prayer, would find it deserving of being faithfully translated or adapted into their own languages so this can go well beyond the walls of language discrepancies coming from my own limitations.

you and your friends are all invited to join the simultaneous praying of this prayer for conscious oneness on saturday, may 31 at exactly 12 noon (manila date and time) wherever you may be within or outside the philippines. [overseas participants may be helped to compute synchronize their event with 12 noon May 31 in manila by clicking here] People who would come to join the chorused praying at the function room of merced bakehouse even just only for that high-noon event at that venue may register as physically-present participants in the 2nd Philippine Convergence for Human Synergy (please open often http://convergence4oneness.4t.com for general info and updates.)

may peace prevail upon the earth!
let's all SEEK ONE HUMANITY!
thank you very much!

Join me in Praying my Gratitude for 'Lola Adeling' and 'Harana'

may i share with you some happy and positive developments about my grandma and the recent event i posted earlier for joint prayer... my heartful THANKS to all for your precious prayers and godly intentions.

LOLA ADELING - after her first chemo last week, the swollen nodes on her left jaw has decreased noticeably. she said she doesn't feel any pain on her "bukol" and was feeling rather fine except for some headaches and minor discomforts. she has been eating well and hasn't lost her appetite despite undergoing treatment. she would undergo five more chemo therapy but strongly believes she would need just two more to recover. such wonderful faith!

Harana sa Ina - despite the heavy rain and traffic, many of ding reyes' family members and very dear friends and colleagues made it to the event last may 10. some even came from as far as lipa city, batangas and calamba, laguna. with ding singing mother-loving songs and some of his own compositions, including a new rap number on 'swanak' (suwail na anak of mother nature), the `harana' lasted for almost two hours which included a brief soulful talk/insight on motherhood by surf reyes; songs rendition from other guests and; a violin rendition of selected songs for mothers performed by dr. myrna estrada, ding's sis-in-law. it was a real treat for mothers, mothers-at-heart and mommy lovers, ha-ha. again, thank you, thank you...

  Teri

Wally C. Caancan
